A motorist, who intentionally set his luxury Mercedes car on fire, has been fined Dh2,000 by the Fujairah Federal Court of First Instance. The court found A.A.A., an Emirati who hails from Al Bidiyya neighbourhood, guilty for arson, as he set his car ablaze inside Wadi Wurrayah wildlife reserve. The incident took place this month and the car was gutted in the blaze. Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers, who examined the damaged car at the site, identified the owner of the vehicle A.A.A. in his 20's. The accused confessed to the crime in interrogation and was referred to public prosecution, which charged him with arson. Fujairah Court of First Instance also found him guilty and convicted of arson.
