Buffalo rescued after inexplicable rooftop stranding

A farmer in Rajasthan had a bit of a shock when one of his buffalo wandered onto the roof of his farmhouse. The buffalo’s owner, Amba Lal, 46, said: “This is the first time in my life that I saw a buffalo climbing the staircase. This is almost impossible for that big an animal. But now when I have experienced this once, I don’t want this to happen again. I’ll keep the doors of the farm house closed.” After Lal tried and failed to coax the beast downstairs to his field, he had to call the Udaipur municipality who drafted a crane. By the time the crane arrived a crowd had gathered to watch, many of whom filmed the event. After over three hours the buffalo was safely returned to earth and taken to an animal care centre, where it was released after vets declared it unharmed.
